Act 1: Nonsense & Sensibility & Zombies – An Improvised Jane Austen Apocalypse

Want a suitor who likes you for your brains? Be careful what you wish for. The Kinkonauts sharpen their wits and weapons in this improvised tale of regency romance and the roving undead. Jane Austen must be rolling over in her grave.

Act 2: Squadball feat. Vlad & Vicky

Squadball explores the weird, witty and wonderful places where friendships are forged and norms are shattered. This powerhouse of playfulness stretches the boundaries of their imaginations – and yours.

This two-act show runs from 8pm to 10pm with a brief intermission.

Set your pumpkins to stun and put out the decorative bowl of Peeps brand Marshmallow Spooky Cats just for Grandma! Your favourite late night variety show APT 33 returns to the Kinkonauts stage for a spooktacular and boorific very special holiday episode!

See what happens when two man-children in their thirties set out to learn the true reason for the season, while attempting to host a kid’s show for adults from their apartment.

  • Will they learn enough to pay the Rent?
  • Will their pet Fish or their Couch devour them first?
  • Will they remember to make that important phone call?

Trick or Treat yo’ self to the answers to these questions, (and one more)

There will be top-notch guests, comedy, existential quandaries, songs about snacks, hats, games, satchels, and some light dancing. It’s a late night fever dream come true that’s sure to lift your spirits!

Ghost Tours at 8pm, 8:30pm, 9pm and 9:30pm

Join Screamy Linguine on an improvised ghost tour of the Alexandra Centre, home to the Kinkonauts improv company and a heretofore untold history of horrifying bloody tales! The macabre will be made up, the chills will be all too real! Tickets on Event Brite.

Warning: this is a walking performance and will take place in very limited lighting

Act 1: Tim Burton Improvised Musical

A macabre fantasy world to delight your senses! Inspired by the music of Danny Elfman and the films of Tim Burton (Edward Scissorhands, Beetlejuice, the Nightmare Before Christmas), we present an improvised musical on the weird and wonderful side. It will be MAGICAL!

Act 2: Screamy Linguine feat. Necessary Elvis

We do so hope you enjoy scary stories, because the Lovecraft Twins adore them more than—dare we say it?—life itself. Lock yourself in a crypt-dark room and hear never-before-told tales of the macabre, the twisted, and the supernatural. No one has ever heard these stories before, but you will never forget them.

Three improv teams face off head-to-head in an intergalactic battle for your starry-eyed love – but only one can win! Your votes will determine the final victor of the season – leaving the other teams behind in their stardust.

Act 1: Starfleet Confidential: An Improvised Star Trek

The Kinkonauts don their uniforms to seek out new laughs and comedic situations in a loving parody of the Star Trek franchise.

With each improvised episode, the crew of the USS Callipygian explore strange new audience suggestions all while saving helpless colonists, dodging phaser fire, and enjoying some earl grey tea, hot!

Act 2: Dream Toast feat. Nap Jerks

A show based entirely on dream logic where dreams inspire dreams inspire dreams. It gets weird, nothing makes sense and your mom is there with a different face, but in the end it all means something. Delve into your subconscious with Dream Toast and discover the zany world of dream “logic.”

This two-act show runs from 8pm to 10pm with a brief intermission.

Watch these Millennials cope with crushing debt and imminent ecological disaster by laughing at the absurdity of our modern existence!

Act 1: I Love Love, Directed by Vinny Francois

“I Love Love” is an improvised play exploring that most infuriating and intoxicating emotion. This show explores not just the funny side of love and relationships, but also the parts that can make us angry, comforted or heartbroken.

After debuting at the Vancouver International Improv Festival in 2018, this show has also been performed in Montreal with an international cast of performers. Created and directed by our guest curator Vinny Francois of Montreal Improv.

Act 2: Group Chat feat. Nap Jerks
