Kent McKay
Kent is another cautionary tale of improv and standup comedy. He wasn’t classically trained in the arts, so he had to pick it up on the mean streets of Calgary, studying with any troupe that would have him. Performing in basements and disused automotive shops, he caroused with clowns and rubbed elbows with magicians (who have notoriously guarded elbows). He has found himself cast in shows such as An Improv Hamlet (Improv Guild) and An Improvised History of Calgary (McMaster/ Calgary 2012).
Since 2011 he has been performing and producing the Late Night Cabaret for the Calgary Fringe.
