Nicole is a professional artist, and improviser who has been working professionally across Canada since 1998. As an improviser and comedian, she has written and performed her own shows across Canada, and along with the Kinkonauts, she can be seen regularly working with Dirty Laundry the Live Improvised Soap Opera and the Improv Guild (Women in Improv – International Improv Festival 2010, 2011, 2012). She was also a core writer and performer with Shadow Productions, and the sketch comedy group Obscene But Not Heard, whom she toured with across Canada in their fringe festival hit, Jihad Me at Hello. Nicole appeared at Just for Laughs in 2002 as part of the winning team on the reality show Sketch Troupe, and recently directed Hoodwink at the Calgary One Act Fest (which won best production and will next be seen at the Calgary Fringe 2012). She Teaches as well as Does.
As a regular actress you may have seen her on stage at Lunchbox Theatre (Anesthesia’s Antiques Roadsow, Last Christmas, It’s a Wonderful Life), Stage West (Boeing Boeing, Perfect Wedding, Moon Over Buffalo), or ATP (Wit). And that’s just COMEDY.
As a writer, you may have seen her work at an improvised roller rink for ATP’s Out of Bounds and the Edmonton Fringe (Camille on Wheels), the High Performance Rodeo (Oh, Jesus! – a love story), Lunchbox Theatre (the Betty Award nominated Monkey Business), or Vertigo Theatre (Innocent Blood). The rumours are true. She gets around.
