We’re so thrilled to be bringing “Beauty Love Truth’ (BLT) to Calgary in February for 3 shows – February 10 & 11 at 10:30pm at the Loose Moose AND February 12 at 7pm at The Ironwood. Talk about an action packed weekend. Each show will be a once in a lifetime event with different musical guests and our guest improvisors from NYC, Louie Pearlman and Shannon Manning.

HERE’S A SWEET BONUS! Shannon and Louie are offering a workshop while they are in Calgary on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 11 from 2p to 5p at The Area in Inglewood. The chance to ‘play’ and learn with Louie and Shannon is something you’ll want to take advantage of…’cause they leave on Monday and then you’re looking at a flight to New York to get any training from them. Just $35 for this 3 hour session.

A bit about your coaches:

Shannon Manning studied at the University of Chicago (BA History), the School of the Art Institute, and with the legendary comedy inspiration Del Close. After moving to New York in 1997, she taught and directed improv at the Upright Citizens Brigade TheatreMagnet Theater (which she also co-founded), and Drinkytown, including the political improv show Red All Over and the music and improv show Beauty Love Truth. She has performed on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as a piece of cheese and other characters. In 2008, she was New Media Deputy for Obama for America – New York. She shot volunteer recruitment videos, customized NY State’s website on barackobama.com, blogged on the official NY HQ blog to promote and share volunteer activities, volunteer efforts that were unprecedented and pivotal in the successful election of our President. She is now focusing on building a multimedia empire/subculture/revolution through Sparkle Television, a video and web production company.

 

Louie Pearlman is a Canadian comedian and song-writer living in Queens, NY. He is a producer, director, puppeteer and performer with the acclaimed entertainment company The Story Pirates. He also recently appeared as J. Jonah Jameson in the zero-budget musical The Spidey Project and produces and directs the monthly improv/music show Beauty Love Truth through the production company Sparkle Television.
